San Jacinto College

In his second year with San Jacinto College, Matteo Martinez will focus on the outfielders and hitters and assist in recruitment.
 
Martinez was a letter winner at Dawson High School before joining the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He spent the past two seasons coaching at Galveston College. In 2022, he assisted the Whitecaps, which led to a regional championship berth with multiple all-conference players.
 
Martinez also served as the pitching coach for the 2023 Brazos Valley Bombers, who earned a championship game berth and a first seed in the playoffs. He led the Bombers to a league-leading 1.38 walks plus hits per inning pitched, and the staff also posted a 4.37 ERA, 383 strikeouts, and 14 saves in 430.1 innings. He was recently named the head coach of Brazos Valley for summer 2025.
 
Martinez has worked with Marucci Elite Texas, Hustle Baseball, and the Phantom Baseball organization. He currently studies at Lamar University and lives in Pearland.
