Austin King

  • Title
    Graduate Assistant Baseball Coach
Austin King came to San Jacinto College as a player in fall 2022. He enjoyed success as a dual-position player (outfield/RHP). After completing his 2024 sophomore season, King wanted to pursue coaching, and it was a no-brainer addition. In his first year with San Jac as a coach, he will focus on assisting the pitchers under assistant coach Josh Zeid.

King was originally a Deer Park native before his family relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, where he graduated from Hardin Valley Academy. A standout baseball player, he was highly recruited by several junior colleges before opting to come home. King battled injuries his freshman year and ultimately transitioned to a pitcher-only role for the Ravens in 2024, posting a 1-0 record in eight appearances. He also enjoyed tremendous success in the prestigious Valley League with the Purcellville Cannons in Virginia.
